A high traffic, assorted specialty job fair was held on Feb 2nd and 3rd at the Cairo Conference Center with such high traffic and excellent outcomes.
Despite the escalation of the political rage and security issues on the 2nd of February, and the extremely bad weather on the 3rd, the Shaghalny Shokran turnout was quite good. While many anticipated that there wouldn’t be enough visitors because of all the limitations and conditions, it seems that what Amr Adib thought is a highly demanded initiative turned out to be so. The spark he started to stir the job market really worked.
People of all age groups, specialties and backgrounds were curious to know how the employment trend has become, and that was another surprise in the fair. It included both white collar and blue collar jobs, unlike any other. Many of the exhibiting employers had vacancies for workers as well as engineers, marketers and other jobs. On the other hand, the visitors were of all kinds too.
BasharJobs.com witnessed a leap in its job seeker database in the following week. Seems like the fair raised quite a good spirit among job seekers!
The number of employers in the fair was huge; the booths were for free yet very well organized. Many of the major market players made sure they attended the event as well as many training centers and career development NPOs. The announced vacancies were many and so with an equally high traffic, the outcomes of the job fair were quite good.
Seems like we don’t have an unemployment problem after all, it’s a problem of matching the talents with their right jobs in a proper environment. That’s not it, a lot of enthusiasm and optimism are apparently must-have ingredients.
Stay tuned for more events!!
